Warmly welcomed when I entered, this franchise (3 in the Austin area) attempts to
educate their consumers with 100 (or so) bottles not easily found, organized by body and flavor profile. And the consumer will pay for it. Though I only recognized 1/2 of the bottles in the store, the markup is extreme. I wonder what the markup is on the bottles I didn’t know!
The staff member definitely seemed to know his stuff and was very willing to help the customers. Daily wine tastings. I liked the store, but with the offensive bottle markup and the competing Lake Travis Wine Trader down the road, I know where I’d hang my hat to explore the world of wine…
